Customize Invoice Number Format
Learn how to add prefixes, suffixes, and custom sequences to your GST invoice numbers in GST Pro. Configure unique invoice formats for each financial year.
Overview
GST Pro allows you to customize your invoice numbering format to meet compliance and organizational needs. You can add prefixes, suffixes, and define unique series for each financial year.
Invoice numbering must be **sequential and unique** for GST compliance.
Avoid reusing or skipping invoice numbers once generated.
Customize your invoice numbering
Open General Settings
Go to GST Pro → Settings → General.
Select custom invoice format
Under Invoice Number Format, select Custom Invoice Numbers.
Select or add financial year
Choose the financial year you want to edit, or click Add to create a new one.
Configure prefix, suffix, and series
Enable Start with custom number every financial year.
Enter your preferred Prefix, Starting Number, and Suffix.
Use the live preview to confirm your invoice number format.
