Add or Edit Shipping GST
Learn how to configure automatic or manual GST for shipping charges in GST Pro. Set shipping tax rates to match your store’s compliance needs.
Overview
You can configure GST on shipping charges in GST Pro either automatically or manually.
Automatic mode applies GST based on the highest product rate in an order, while manual mode lets you set a fixed percentage.
Configure Shipping GST
Open Tax Settings
Go to GST Pro → Settings → Tax Settings. Locate the Shipping GST section.
Option 1: Automatic Shipping GST
Enable automatic calculation
Keep the default Automatic Shipping GST option enabled.
How it works
The app automatically applies the highest GST rate among the products in an order to the shipping amount. For example, if an order includes items taxed at 12% and 5%, the shipping GST will be 12%.
Option 2: Manual Shipping GST
Switch to manual mode
Select Manual Shipping GST.
Set GST percentage
Enter your preferred GST rate (%) in the field provided. For example, to apply 12% GST on shipping, enter 12.
Save settings
Click Save to confirm your configuration.
